so i’m doing something new... calling it the inspired looks series. this is the first series of many more to come.
The idea came about as in previous blog posts i usually include a collage of pieces of inspiration with most/if not all images from my favourite retailer matchesashion. The feedback that i was getting back however was although lovely pieces... were unrealistic as items were priced 2k-10K. fair enough because i could only dream to have all the pieces that i shared. thus, as i get my fashion and style inspiration from looks that are styled together on matchesfashion.com, i wanted to find outfits/looks that were trending and find affordable/relatable pieces to still achieve the look. calling this lani looks.
with a new trend each series. and so i wanted to start off with millennial pink. although this colour has been trending for quite some time now (all started in 2015 when Pantone named rose quartz as the colour of the year), it’s a colour that in my opinion is here to stay. why? because the soft, dusty shade is flattering at any age and for any skin tone.
MILLENNIAL pink. so how best to describe this colour?
Well, that’s the tricky part.
Think blush or delicate pink. It’s sort of a grapefruit shade of well cooked salmon? Timeless colour, yet a very now colour.
